Learn more about VanessaOne-to-One Sound Healing
Sound healing, also called sound therapy, is based on the idea that sound vibrations can help bring the body and mind back into balance. People have used it for thousands of years—from Tibetan singing bowls to chanting, drumming, and modern sound baths.
Sound works on multiple levels of the body and mind. Through the phenomenon of brainwave entrainment, rhythmic tones and frequencies can help shift your brain into deeply restorative states such as theta and delta—those associated with meditation, inner stillness, and healing. I use quartz crystal bowls and other instruments to create this resonance, gently nudging your system out of stress and into calm.
One-to-one Sound Healing Sessions by Soulstar
In a private sound healing session, you’ll be gently immersed in waves of therapeutic sound. We’ll restore harmony to your nervous system, recalibrate your energy and guide you into a deep state of rest and renewal.
Benefits
People often report:
Deep relaxation and stress release
Better sleep and rest
Improved mood and clarity
Relief from tension and anxiety
A sense of peace, spaciousness, and renewal
Why it works
Vibrational resonance – Every part of the body has a natural frequency. Sound healing aims to “tune” the body back to harmony.
Brainwave entrainment – Rhythmic tones encourage the brain to shift into healing states (alpha, theta, delta).
Whole-body effect – Unlike talking therapy, sound bypasses the analytical mind and is experienced directly in the body.
How we work
Each session is intuitively tailored to your needs, offering a quiet sanctuary where you can pause, let go, and come home to yourself—refreshed, rebalanced, and restored.
Let’s get you comfortable
I ask for divine guidance through the oracle cards as a starting point on your journey. To get you comfortable, I’ll talk you through a small meditation and breathwork.
The sound begins
You’ll lie comfortably, fully clothed, as crystal bowls and other healing instruments surround you in sound.
Grounding and restoration
Reiki healing completes our session so you will feel grounded with the new frequencies you have received. A few moments of stillness to come into the present to reflect on your journey.
Frequently asked questions
1. Do I have to take my clothes off?
No, please don’t. It would be uncomfortable for both of us. This is not a bath as in water. It is called a bath because the sound washes over you.
2. What happens in a private sound healing session?
You’ll simply lie back, fully clothed, on a comfortable mat or massage table. Using instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and the voice, I’ll guide you through a soundscape designed to relax your nervous system, release stress, and restore balance.
3. Do I need to do anything during the session?
No preparation or special effort is required. You only need to relax, breathe, and allow the sounds to wash over you. Some people drift into meditation or sleep, others stay quietly alert—there’s no right or wrong.
4. What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing is best. Think of what you’d wear to a yoga or meditation class. You’ll remain fully clothed and covered with a blanket if you like.
5. How long is a session?
Private sessions usually last between 90 minutes, depending on your needs. This allows time to settle in, immerse in the sound journey, and gently return to waking awareness at the end.
6. What if I’ve never done sound healing before?
Perfect! Sound healing is very beginner-friendly. There are no skills to learn or techniques to master—just openness to experience. Many first-time clients are surprised at how quickly they feel calm and supported.
7. How do I prepare?
Come as you are.
If you wish to be more prepared: Arrive a few minutes early, hydrate well, and avoid heavy meals or stimulants (like coffee) right before your session. Bring an open mind, and allow yourself the gift of rest.
